The winner will be announced at Network 2019, which takes place on 26 March at the Hilton Metropole as part of the major conference and awards organised by Network Magazine, which is the sister publication of Utility Week.
Fulcrum is the only independent utility network owner in the running for the award alongside its fellow finalists, Electricity North West, National Grid UK, SGN, SP Energy Networks and Wales & West Utilities.
Network of the Year recognises companies that not only provide their current customers with excellent levels of services but are also involved in the development of the energy systems for tomorrow through innovative practices, smart use of technology and are able to deliver dynamic change to their business models.
Finalists will have also demonstrated a combination of customer service, agenda setting innovation, operational resilience and workforce best practice through their work in 2018.
Martin Harrison, CEO of Fulcrum Group, said: “This is the first year of these awards and to be shortlisted, particularly alongside such recognised and respected utility industry network owners, is a significant achievement for Fulcrum. It’s a very welcome endorsement of the investments we continue to make in our organisation and in our people, who are the driving force of Fulcrum’s continuing success."
