This latest development is part of the evolution of the Company’s multi-utility service offering and securing the accreditation enables Fulcrum to install, operate and maintain fiscal electricity meters in residential and commercial premises on behalf of UK energy suppliers.
Fulcrum is already a Meter Asset Manager and Meter Asset Provider, and this new accreditation enables the company to provide an end-to-end service by, owning, managing and operating dual-fuel Smart Meters.
The company is already engaging with key industry stakeholders, including numerous energy suppliers, to highlight and promote Fulcrum’s metering capabilities and service offering.
Martin Harrison, Fulcrum CEO, said: “This is a significant step forward in our Smart Metering strategy, underpinning Fulcrum’s plans to install, adopt, own and operate Smart Meters as part of our national multi-utility service offering.
“We will utilise our experience and expertise in the utility infrastructure market to establish this as a core service within the Fulcrum Group.”
