The person

  • Good working knowledge of employment law
  • 1 year+ experience in HR and People services
  • Hold, or be working towards a CIPD qualification
  • Good ICT skills on applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent organisation skills

A vacancy has arisen within our Smart Metering team for an Operations Performance Manager

This position will be office based and will require the successful candidate to ensure the delivery of all Smart Metering operational activities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the interface with all key clients and service providers, assisting in the management of the asset coordination team, and managing all necessary industry accreditations are maintained.

Key Accountabilities

  • Management of sub contract resources & implementation/maintenance of MIS reporting
  • Provision of support to ensure that field technicians conform to statutory requirements and company policy / procedures
  • Provision of support to ensure compliance with the requirements of our MOCOPA, MAMCOP, AMI and Gas Safe accreditation's
  • Assisting with monitoring field performance, identifying any areas of underperformance and take appropriate and timely action to rectify them

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and managing electrical and civil designs across a whole range of electrical infrastructure and connection projects up to and including 132kV.

A vacancy has arisen within our Operational Support Team for a Delivery Design Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our design team within our national multi-utility services business.

Flexible working - occasional requirement to attend head offices for meetings etc.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare accurate fit for purpose technical designs in accordance with relevant network requirements and industry codes.
  • Obtain all network design and connection approvals to enable the construction of works in line with customer delivery requirements.
  • Proactively liaise with clients, industry stakeholders and Fulcrum people to ensure that any risks to the successful right first-time delivery are prevented or an appropriate and timely solution achieved.
  • Work with sales to provide pre quotation design requirements to enable costs estimates to be produced for quotation purposes as required.

The person

  • A self-motivated person who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly engaging, with the ability to positively influence and build solid working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload to match customer requirements and set business KPI’s & SLA’s

  • Utilities industry experience and knowledge
  • IGEM accredited

A vacancy has arisen within our Operational Support Team for a Delivery Design Coordinator

Reporting to the Operational Support Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our operational support team within our national multi-utility services business. This role is based at our Sheffield Head Office.

Key Accountabilities

  • Obtain current statutory undertaken plans and ensure these are included in the Operations Pack ready for the Project Engineer and Construction Team.
  • Issue the customer with the required service MPRN & MPAN numbers.
  • Accept any network quotations and arrange payment for any Section 16 / Network works
  • Obtain all network design and connection approvals to enable the construction of works in line with customer delivery requirements
  • Ensure all projects are good to go in advance of work commencement to ensure Fulcrum Mobile App functionality can be utilised by Operations
  • Ensure all required NRSWA permissions and traffic management requirements are in place in for the public works to be undertake. Liaising with councils to negotiate and agree early starts where required.
  • Proactively liaise with clients, industry stakeholders and Fulcrum people to ensure that any risks to the successful right first time delivery are prevented or an appropriate, and timely, solution achieved
  • GIRS accreditation required

A vacancy has arisen within our Asset team for an Asset Auditor on a six-month fixed term contract

Reporting to the Asset Assurance Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity work with our asset team to ensure complete and accurate asset records of meters on our gas estate.

To deliver expectations the role will be field based with regular travel and effective audit planning.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare required asset documentation packs from asset records to support planned nil burn audits
  • Plan efficient routes to maximise the audits completed
  • Communicate with residents/occupants of both commercial and domestic properties in a professional manner, where required.
  • Undertake nil burn asset audits to establish for each supply point if a meter is found or there is no meter installed.
  • Capture all required information and photos for each supply point and submit the records to the asset management team
  • Assess each supply point termination in line with provided training to identify any asset defect.
  • For labelling defects rectify these whilst on site taking before and after photographs for records.
  • For non-labelling defects raise an asset defect report to enable the defect to be risk assessed and resolved by the asset management team.
  • Produce a weekly report of all audits completed confirming the meter records found and those confirmed with no meter in place.

The person

A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision to achieve a project deadline.

Diligent in their approach and attention to detail with capability to plan workloads efficiently and effectively to deliver results.

Professional with good interpersonal skills and customer focused mindset as will be an ambassador for the business.

  • Clean full driving licence

  • Detailed knowledge of gas meters and the gas industry

  • EURS – Gas safety passport

  • Working knowledge of excel

  • Computer and database skills

  • Good understanding of the UK geography

  • Prepared to travel with occasional overnight stays
